Fresco by Raffaello |
Built in the 11th century, allegedly above a pagan temple to the Sun, the
Church of San Severo was rebuilt as we see it today between 1748 and 1751
The
14th century chapel contains a fresco whose upper section was painted by
Raphael between 1505 and 1508. It depicts the Trinity (the figure of the Father is lost) surrounded by saints and angels.
The lower part was added in 1521 by
Perugino.
